EAM second year students presented their capstones projects. Congratulations to the winners: My Luong with her project on Tire Pyrolysis which she did an excellent job of tying into the EAM disciplines. Second place went to Robyn whose educational website impressed a key CAPLA member and manager at Repsol. Juliana took third place with her project on hydrophobic nanocoating for solar panels.

EAM 1st year students had the opportunity to have an Accumap training session to complete a Data Project. AccuMap™ from IHS Markit is a mapping, data management and analysis software for companies operating in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and Frontier areas. Thanks to Anthony Santos from IHS Markit for helping us with this project.
The Core Research Centre is located in the University Research Park in Calgary. The facility is about 18,000 square meters (200 000 square feet) and two city blocks long. The CRC has expanded over the years to accommodate the increasing number of geological samples. It now includes a secondary warehouse for increased storage located on 48th Street SE in Calgary.

EAM students had the opportunity to visit the SAIT Petroleum and Drilling Laboratories. Thanks to Alan Jack Academic Chair of the Petroleum Engineering Technology for the guide tour. Such a wonderful experience.
Our first annual EAM Industry Networking Night event held at SAIT. The purpose of this gathering was to build awareness, momentum, and understanding of the EAM program within the energy sector. We had the pleasure of having Mark Taylor, vice president of the Operations Division at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER)., as a guest speaker.
EAM students had the opportunity to get AbaData training from Ed Davis. AbaData sales/support at Abacus Datagraphics Ltd. Abadata is an amazing and easy to use mapping tool that is used throughout the oil and gas industry as well as many others
What a wonderful night that was!. We are beyond trilled and thankful for all the industry people and students who assisted our magnificent industry night!. EAM student club first exclusive event!. We had so much fun at the bowling alley at SAIT. Students enjoyed playing, sparing some pins, free food and building friendships between 1st and 2nd year.
